Gospel Ceilidh – Memory Lane Concert

Organizers are pleased to announce that the Memory Lane Concert series will be returning for its second season.

This concert series now in its second year began last winter and featured a list of special guests who gave guests a musical trip down Memory Lane, bands who were once popular and performing in the clubs and dance halls of PEI were put back together for special reunion shows and featured bands like The Tremtones, Blue Crystals, Dino and The Satins, The Missing Links, Elliot Wights Orchestra, The Gloryland Express and Grand Daddies of Rock N Roll.

This year will see some of these guests back as well as others. This first show of 2015 will feature the music of host band Unity which features Kendall Docherty & Gerry Hickey on Lead Vocals, Blaine Murphy on Lead Guitar, John McGarry on Bass, Pat King on Sax and Keyboards and Brian knox on Drums as well as special guests Kelley Mooney – (Hey, that’s me!!) and Ed & Linda Doiron.   This first show will feature a mixture of music and will feature many gospel and inspirational selections.

The shows will get underway at 7:30 with doors opening at 6:30 at the Murchison Centre located on St. Pius the Tenth Ave in Parkdale. Admission is at the door and there will be a canteen service operated by the Murchison Foundation and a 50/50 draw. This event supports the PEI Canadian Mental Health Association through the Canteen, 50/50 draw and facility rental.
