Summer is just around the corner, although some days it still feels like October, and the music scene in PEI is just a-hopping!  Take a second to google pretty much ANYTHING music on PEI and you're gonna wanna go!

Today is June 19 and it's my Dad's 87th birthday today.  It's a strange thing to slowly trade places with a parent; he was diagnosed with Dementia, oh I guess about 6 years ago now.  It's progressing slowly, but we're now at the point where he really can't be alone.  He's still such a happy dude, which we are all thankful for, and still loves music just as much as he ever did, so we're going to have a little sing-song at the house later on.  10 minutes after it's over, he won't remember it, but while it's going on, he'll be tappin' his toes and making that little clapping motion with his thumbs!

Just so thankful today that he's still with us and mostly still Dad.  Take a second to take a second look at your family and truly appreciate them.  You don't have to say anything mushy or hug anybody… just say an internal thanks.
